Weather Update

Dublin has lost the summer!

Dublin lost its summer when the June sunshine proposed to the perky roses somewhere in the tall grassland in Phoenix Park and they both eloped to the Artic for a chill of a thrill!

Dublin lost its summer when the thunder stole the birdsongs and the rain performed a parliamentary coup on an ancient Irish weather vane,  up Kilmanhaim’ s streets.

Now the twilight has just turned up, huffy, humiliated and naked with shock at the prospect of another downpour. There’s to be no excuse  this time round, not when the dawn had bounced off hearty and sure after promising to return at dusk with a pint of bitter,  come a glorious sunset hour.

It was a case of no-show!
